The Junior Tennis Olympics Tournament, organised by Clark Francis Tennis at The Aviation Club on 21st May 2010, was a phenomenal concluding tournament for the Clark Francis tennis year. The tournament gives players of all skill levels from all over Dubai an opportunity to experience doubles play and practice doubles skills and tactics. It is a fun and enjoyable experience for all.
The participants get to participate in one of the only doubles tournaments in Dubai. The Olympics game is based on doubles and was introduced by Clark Francis himself, players have enjoyed this event for many years !!
The 39 participants were split into 3 skill based categories, advanced, intermediate and beginner. Pranav Chandrashekar won the beginners category, with Freddy Bhathena taking second prize. Both players are aged 7 years. Mohammed Izadi, aged 9 years old took third place, all three players are coached by Vijay Das.
The intermediate level winner was Jordan Cummins, followed by Hoshi Yadav in second place and Shobhit Narayan in third, all three coached by Ivan Horsky.
The advanced level winner was Akanksha Prakash. The runner-up was Riya John and third place was drawn between Madhav Raj and Adam Al Issa. Akanksha and Riya coached by Rajesh Surendran, Madhav and Adam coached by Vijay Das.
All participants left the event with Nivea and Del Monte prizes, trophies, medals and had a great day !
